Sweet Sweet Holidays

Wow. It has been quite some time since I last had an opportunity to update my blog. What can I say? Holidays make us all loopy; I am no exception to the rule. Well, as most of you have noticed, my website is indeed up and running (might not load as fast as I would like, but I did my best. I now understand why real web designers make a killing; maybe one day...). If you have looked at the animation page on my website, or made the attempt (it takes an eternity to load, or the film may not even show up at all), there is an alternative to watching my extremely macabre student film through my website: just look up the title ("How Some Children Played At Slaughtering"-it's definetly the only one) on youtube to watch the animated short in two parts. And, if you have already watched it, I am sorry if the darker side of my aesthetic has scarred your inner child. I swear it wasn't personal.
This sounds horrible after all of the work that went into re-creating my website, but this is one of those "Michealangelo-would-have-started-over" kind of moments: there are just one too many problems with code for me to feel really proud of my online portfolio. So in the new year, I will be redoing my website yet again using a template created specifically for artist's online portfolios. There will be fewer difficulties loading the images, and it will be much easier for me to keep it updated. So just hang in there for now, and try to be patient with my site in its current state.
